The energy industry is changing fast. Due to the energy crisis and transition to renewable energy sources, electricity prices are more unpredictable, and the push to reduce carbon emissions is rushing up the electrification of everything.

However, electrification is increasing energy demand, which the grid struggles to balance with supply. That being so, grid operators urgently call for household flexibility to stabilize the grid as we rely more on unpredictable energy sources like wind, solar, and nuclear power. This is where Synergi comes in. We solve three problems with our platform:

• Synergi app enables households to optimize their consumption to cheap and green hours and participate in flexibility markets.
• Synergi helps utility companies upgrade their services and generate revenue from flexibility markets by aggregating home energy loads on the Synergi platform and providing the Synergi app as a ready-to-use solution for their customers.
• Synergi provides critical household flexibility to energy markets, such as reserves and local flexibility markets.

Our story

Synergi was founded in the fall of 2022 to accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy sources with smart and flexible software. It's as simple as that. We're really in a rush to decarbonize the grid. Here's why and how:

Energy production is one of the most polluting industries worldwide. Luckily, with the EU green transition on the horizon, countries aim to meet climate goals, and transitioning into low-carbon energy sources is at the heart of the change. Yet the grid becomes increasingly inflexible when we move into energy sources such as wind, solar, or nuclear. We can't always count on the sun to shine or the wind to blow at the right time.

On the other hand, households are doing their own micro-level energy transition by acquiring home-energy assets, such as EVs, hybrids, heat pumps, solar panels, or home batteries, to make their home run more efficiently, sustainably, and, ultimately, cheaper. But electrifying everything means there will be more electricity demand. This demand will be enormous, and existing grid systems, which must always be balanced, can't take it.

Fortunately, these customer-owned assets have opened a new possibility for the whole industry: household flexibility. If households can use energy smarter, when renewables produce it, it helps the entire grid operate better.

Synergi is here to ensure this becomes a reality. Through our platform we optimize and aggregate home energy assets while enabling cheaper energy bills and even rewards—all automatically on the homeowner's behalf.

The task at hand is bold: We are building software that helps the world transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources.
